Appearance: Pours a hazy burnt orange color topped by a finger of violet-hued foam; splashy shards of lace
Smell: A lot going on in the aroma here - tart cherry and blueberry tones ensconced in an oaky, rye whisky element; what really comes through, however, is the roasted fig on top of which the beer underwent a second fermentation
Taste: The oak and rye whisky flavors make the first impression, followed quickly by the moderately tart (but not at all sweet) cherry and blueberry along with the fig flavors that continue to build; the finish is very dry with some tartness in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Mouthfeel: Unlike Blend #2 that was all about the fruit, Blend #3 brings a range of subtle flavors, with a strong oak and rye character; every sip brings new elements to the palate as the various flavors emerge and retreat
