Built in North Carolina but draped in the traditions of the west coast, Fonta Flora takes on a drier, more bitter and curiously dank character for a change.
Lightly haze and teeming with golden champagne bubbles, Best Budz wastes no time delivering the dank on the nose as citrus, cannabis and pine waft above a fluffy white crown. As a scant sweetness splashes the tongue, a sense of dry granola pop out of the lightly toasty, caramelized and nutty malt flavor. But the rise of hops is inevitable with a sharp citrusy tone of pink grapefruit and orange peel followed by dried pineapple and a hint of nectarine. Trending decisively bitter, the taste is peppery, sprucy and laced with orange peel.
Light and dry for an imperial ale, the true west coast vibe consists of a waft of marijuana with every pass of the nose and every sip in a dry, drinkable and refreshing way despite its off-clean and downright dank demeanor.

A fine example of west coast ipa. Color is a clear amber with a nice white head. Nose and taste are both dank goodness. Only thing missing is a heavy bitterness on the back end
