Brewed in collaboration with Olde Hickory Brewery, the OG stout makers of North Carolina. Mashed with southern select two row barley from our good friends at Riverbend Malt House if Asheville, North Carolina along with a decadent blend of the finest caramel, chocolate and roasted malts. Fermented cool with our preferred house ale yeast for a luxurious mouthfeel and perfevt residual seetness. Conditioned on fire-smoked coconut.

poured from a 750mL bottle (from who knows when - received this as an extra a few years back or more and recently found it in a box of beers from when i moved back in fall of 2021) into a snifter. pours a dark brown with a light mocha brown foam cap. roasty and hoppy/piney on the nose. taste follows with a hint of coconut. realizing i have (unintentionally) held on to this beer for far too long it is honestly not that bad. it is a little too hoppy for a stout for my liking but the roasted coffee, chocolate and coconut notes are quite good. medium-full mouthfeel with a creamy finish to it. honestly not bad considering i would NEVER hang on to a coconut stout (especially at 8%) for this long.

750ml bottle poured into a snifter
Pours jet black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has good retention. Smells of chocolate, roasted malt, hint of coffee, vanilla cream and fresh coconut. Tastes of chocolaty malt up front with some molasses and fudgy notes. The coconut kicks in mid-palate and continues into a roasted finish. Medium-body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and a slightly creamy finish

Appearance: Pours midnight brown with a one finger tan head; decent persistence and plenty of squiggly lacing
Smell: Chocolate fudge and coconut with a hint of vanilla nougat
Taste: Tastes like a Mounds bar, up front, with the roast and hops cutting into the sweetness in the mid-palate; the tempered flavors meld together, in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Easily my favorite from the series, the Olde Hickory brewers have pooled resources with Fonta Flora to produce a full-flavored stout with only 8% ABV
