Smoky, funky beer. Definitely try this beer. I'm not a big fan of smoked beers or peas, but this beer definitely has the smoked taste and the smell of peas. Interesting, but not my style. I think some people will love it.

A: Pours a very lightly hazy medium golden amber in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + honey + bright yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy off-white head that reduces to a handful of very small patches of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of smoked + wheat + biscuit malts with a light amount of caramel + light fruit (apple) sweetness and a hint of rice adjuncts. Light aromas of lager yeast, hints of iodine, and hints of floral hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of smoked + wheat + biscuit malts with a light amount of caramel + light fruit (apple) sweetness and a hint of rice adjuncts. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast and iodine. Finally there are hints of floral hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving lingering smokey flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and fairly smokey with a light amount of iodine flavors + aromas present. I can easily see this pairing well with BBQ.
