Received a gift from a buddy on 11-25-24. No canning date but from Untappd entries it appeared on draft in late October and cans in early November. Consumed 11-26-24.
Beer poured a clear chilled gold with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, herbal with some berry and citrus.
Taste is very nice, large but somewhat light malt base takes on the famous west coast hops that display strawberry, grapefruit, and mango. Finishes with a nice pine and rind bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this was a treat to try as Fonta Flora brews this maybe once or twice a year!

A: Pours a clear medium golden amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + medium golden yellow + copper colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + passionfruit + pine + dank resinous hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + lightly toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + lightly toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + passionfruit + pine + dank resinous hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering assertive bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a light amount of dryness and alcohol warming in the finish.
O: Drinks quite easily considering the strength with well hidden alcohol and a crisp mouthfeel. Very pleasant hop profile with enough assertive bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Fantastic! True west-coast style IPA. Hoppy, dank and dry, the 10.4% is well-hidden, and this is extremely drinkable, be careful with this one! Way To go Fonta Flora!
