Brown color, tan-orange head. Pleasant aromas reminiscent of a campfire. Flavor generally matches, with some phenolic accents and a robust malt backbone. Low carbonation, creamy mouthfeel.

Deep copper in color with medium clarity, small, off white head that is not very persistant
Intense smokey, woody aromas with a slight hint of band aid phenolics, smells like malt was smoked with a propane smoker, slight chemically. Also has subtle aroma of toast and caramel with very subdued earthy hop aroma
Flavor is a much like the aroma, hickory smoked with a propane smoker, band-aid phenolics caramel malt backbone with subtle earthy, noble hop bitterness. Slight sweet finish but seems to be properly attenuated
Moderately low carbonation with medium body, very faint alcohol warmth with a somewhat creamy textture
The type of wood they used to smoke the malt gives too much of a phenolically aroma and flavor, for a good, traditional rauchbier the brewer needs to model their beer after the classic German rauchbier brewers. The carbonation and head retention needs to be adjusted as well. I'm very disappointed, Fonta Flora makes great beer but this is not one of them.
