Double mashed imperial stout aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels.
Mashed with a base of local barley malt and injected with a decadent blend of the finest caramel, chocolate and roasted malts. Fermented with our preferred stout yeast strain for an unbelievably thick body and luxurious mouthfeel. Transferred into freshly dumped, extremely wet and hand-selected Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels, where this beer conditioned for 16 months. Incredibly luxurious and patiently complex, this Imperial Stout is about showcasing our stout brewing skills, barrel depth and character and a balancing act of time.

Appearance: Pours thick and inky with a just a thin film; very leggy with speckles here and there
Smell: Caramel coated chocolate and Bourbon; rather sweet with a hint of roast
Taste: Sweet chocolate and caramel forward the Bourbon and roast developing; the finish is a blend of all the flavors
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy, with no carbonation
Overall: A powerful and delicious; very rich so it is hard to enjoy more than a few ounces at a time; I wish Fonta Flora would use a different format for these big stouts as a 750 needs to be shared with a group of folks
