Appearance: Pours the color of red currant juice with a two finger pink head that fritters away to a ringlet; minimal lacing
Smell: Funky aromatics with tart berry tones; an earthy element, as well
Taste: Sweet berry for a second and then the tart elderberry takes over; oaky and dry through the middle with the funk and a burst of sourness, after the swallow, which only increases in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation; quite puckery
Overall: Powerful elderberry here, with all aspects of the fruit in display
