Appearance: Pours pitch black with a modest beige head; leggy with a scattering of lace
Smell: The Apple Brandy really comes through in the aroma, with the imperial stout note of roast and chocolate pairing
Taste: Roast and chocolate forward with the Apple Brandy not coming through as much as anticipated; tastes more like a whiskey barrel; boozy and hot finish
Mouthfeel: Thich body with low to moderate carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: Even though there is not as much Apple Brandy flavor as I had hoped, this is still a distinctive brew and a fine testimonial to Fonta Flora's 7th anniversary
