750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a think jet black color with a one-finger foamy dark khaki head that reduces to leave nothing behind
S- dark chocolate syrup and toasted pecans on the nose up front, followed by plenty of barrel that adds wet oak, caramel, vanilla and barrel juice. Undertones of brownie batter, molasses and chocolate fudge
T- rich liquid chocolate and nutty pecans up front mimic the flavors of chocolate fudge with pecans. Mid-palate brings out oaky bourbon, vanilla and sweet caramel. The finish gives rich chocolate icing, chocolate fudge and vanilla cream. Lingers of bourbon and chocolate syrup
M- medium-heavy body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns into a slightly creamy, warming finish
O- the nutty notes really come through, complimenting rich dark chocolate fudgy notes, well done

Batch #2
Appearance: Pours as dark a brown can get with a thin beige head that fades to a ringlet; very leggy with an occasional spot
Smell: Rich and dense chocolate syrup mixed with Bourbon tones; there is a sweet and pecan nut tone that is quite subtle
Taste: Chocolate truffle flavors forward with the pecan praline building, particularly as the beer warms; the Bourbon and oak envelops in the mid-palate; nicely blended into the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and thick with low carbonation
Overall: Rich and delicious, the new stout program is alive and well at Fonta Flora
