Appearance: Pour thick and black with a very modest head; no lacing
Smell: Rich chocolate aromatics with dry sherry overtones
Taste: The dark chocolate flavor dominates but is framed with oak and sherry; some dark fruit, in the finish, with a hint of espresso
Mouthfeel: Full and thick with very low carbonation
Overall: I don't often come across sherry barrel treatment in a stout and while it adds an interesting element and drinks nicely, it doesn't really stand up to a stout this big
