Poured from the can into a tulip glass.
Beaming and bright brass yellow, with a near crystal clear appearance. Excellent carbonation, to a big bright white head, with little retention and settling to a big bubbly collar.
Much like the appearance, the aroma is also bright and bold. Deep hits of sharp grapefruit zest and pulp. Mild sensing malt body and maybe a touch of briney salt for good measure.
First impression dials things down a little. Light bodied almost a bit wet with not much malt density or flavor upon first sip. Tangy and big punch of grapefruit in the mid palate, mostly hinted fruit but not from hop flavor. Tartness is dialed down, almost a bit candy like in finish but without large touches of sweetness.
A pretty tasty fruited gose, but lacks some of the solid base character of the style. Excellent fruity flavor though, making for a solid drinkable beer at least.
