Appearance: Arrives a blackish brown color with a thin beige head that fades to a collar; leggy but no lacing
Smell: Rich chocolate dominates that aromatics, with cardamom, oak and Bourbon tones
Taste: Strong chocolate flavors forward with caramel and cardamom adding an exotic angle; oak and Bourbon tones, in the middle with hints of salt in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with low carbonation
Overall: This reminds me of Turkish Monk from a few years back but the difference is in the way Fonta Flora makes its big stouts nowadays, generating a full mouthfeel and higher ABV
