Batch 1 Sept 22.
A bit sour, a bit tart, but pretty fruity and jammy. Nice strawberry notes. Not sure if I can pick up on the wine barrels. It’s a nice American wild ale with a bit of funk near the finish.

Next up in the lineup of Fonta Flora beers provided by the great brentk56, we have a beer that bares my username. That would be awesome enough, but this is also finished on Madeira casks, a rather uncommon treatment for a beer that has me excited to try it. Let’s jump in headfirst
Pours an opaque burnt orange with a finger of creamy off white head that quickly fades to nothing and leaves no lacing
The strawberry is definitely up front in the nose, but it's certainly not the only thing going on; it integrates well with everything else. I'm picking up on aromas of strawberry gummy, lemon yogurt, sweet Madeira wine, straw, sweet honey, smooth oak, light vanilla, and bready malt
It has even more of a tart punch to it in taste that is much appreciated. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting jammy strawberry, lemon juice, wet hay, sharp oak, sweet Madeira wine, vanilla, and light raspberry. The swallow brings notes of lemon yogurt, jammy strawberry, tannic red wine, stone, wet hay, sharp oak, bready malt, and a touch of honey
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes bone dry with a balanced fruitiness
Oh yeah, this one is awesome. I'm sad I only have one FF beer left to try from the trade, I think I might need to get more eventually
