Appearance - Pours black with a cola brown edging. Tan, very minimal head that devolves quickly to a razor thin, broken line around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Aroma hits on sugar, maple, chocolate, roast and bourbon.
Taste - Sugary maple and dark chocolate upfront and throughout. Underlying notes of vanilla, bourbon and tobacco hit mid-taste. Berry zing emerges as the brew warms. Aftertaste lingers with continuing sugary maple.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth drinker before a dry, slightly sticky finish. Overall, very smooth for a 14% brew.
Overall - Pretty good BA stout, though it's a tad too sweet for my liking. Those who like theirs on the more sugary side will definitely find this appeasing.

Received a 750 ML bottle in a trade 1/14/2023 from BMBCLT, thanks beer brother! Consumed 500 ML 3-15-23 for review. A lot to take in at 14.0 abv.
Beer poured black with a nice brown head.
Nose is very interesting. Getting notes of medium roasted malts with a touch of maple and vanilla.
Taste is a fairly mild malt base that has acclimated nicely to the 15-month barrel aging time. Maple imparts a level of sweetness that is balanced nicely by the herbal/masala fenugreek and of course the nice warming bourbon barrel and hopping.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied with each sip being very smooth.
Overall a very nicely crafted beer!
