Acquired a bottle via trade on 4-1-23. Thanks @BMBCLT! 2022 edition consumed for review 4-9-24.
Beer poured burgundy brown with an okay off white head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is port barrel forward with notes of toffee.
Taste is a large malt base that gives forth toffee, brown sugar, and dried plums. Finishes with a big barrel presence that is more port forward with a touch of bourbon in the background. Finishes a touch sweet but balanced and warming.
Mouthfeel is a tad thin for the gravity of the beer, somewhat smooth.
Overall a tasty beer, glad i was able to try!

OK Fonta Flora, third time is a charm…I hope. 750ML bottle split with my life after a lovely week relaxing at a cabin in lake country.
Very dark pour with red glimmering deep in the heart of the glass with a nose dominated by the fruity port.
Periodic Motion – Port & Bourbon is thin. Shaking hands, that’s the overwhelming first impression. Strong port notes mingle with understated bourbon to create a taste that feels even more wicked than its (already high) stated ABV. There’s a mustiness that disagrees with my palate & other than an unfocused sweetness, little trace of the base beer.
I want to like this. I love port, bourbon, barleywines, but this is a dumbing down of all three. After three attempts & given the price point, I am likely finished with this brewery. Lacking & doesn't even stretch to mediocre.

Dark brown body with a khaki collar. Rich toffee malts and dry earth with barley get a shot of musty port grape added in plus bourbon molasses in the nose. Taste is much the same, port leads stronger than bourbon compared to nose. Dry, full, clean, and boozy with a growing warmth. The wife liked it
