Poured from a 16oz can into a Smog City snifter. Pours a shiny black with over two fingers of mocha brown foam head. Some light nuttiness on the nose as well as light chocolate and roasted malts. Taste pretty much follows with nothing popping out at me. It’s subtle and balanced. Not at all sweet. Medium-full mouthfeel. Not bad by any means. Again, not sweet. Drinks pretty easily for 8.5% (at least that’s what the details in my can read). Nuts are always tough as they come across as a very subtle flavor. But here they work well with the cocoa nibs and base beer.
