Look: It pous cloudy brown with a tan head. It has very low head retention.
Smell: Strong coffee aromas with noticeable alcohol.
Taste: It has coffee flavor that actually seem a bit watery to me. There are some nutty elements. There are hints of dark fruits.
Feel: It is a bit hot in the finish.
Overall: I love most things from Fonta Flora. With that said, this beer was a bit one dimentional for a barleywine and missed the mark in the smell, taste and feel.

Woof this is a drain pour, and an expensive one at that. Just taste alone is rough: coffee with green pepper hints just dominates with boozy barrel, barley and nuts in background with some ash. Smell is a booze and coffee bomb... in a barleywine, no balance. Feel is hot and near the finish is broken, barley is buried under misguided adjuncts. Technical flaws abound, but hey it looks nice!
