Made from the hops of El Dorado, Citra and Azacca, Fonta Flora's beer doesn't just smell and taste good, it looks good too.
Hello, Gorgeous rolls into the glass with silten taupe appearance leveled off with a dense white blanket of froth. As a scent of lighter citrus, tropical and botanical spices roll onto the nose, the flavors carry a powdered sugar sweetness with hints of honeysuckle, angel food cake and light agave. As the hops rebound in flavor, the taste of papaya and pineapple bring a tropical character to an already lemon, orange, white grape and grapefruit sense of juicy citrus. Trailing into a fresh balsa and spruce finish, the hazy ale closes with herbal green tea, fresh grassiness and tropical fruit peels.
Slightly more bitter than bitter-sweet and trending semi-dry with an odd sense of baking soda, a slightly alkaline character leaves the mouthfeel a little thin and its final flavors daringly bland. Maybe it should be Hello, Average Lookin'.
