Black with dark brown edges. Big roasted malt and light coffee aroma and flavor. Nice balance with light woody character. Medium bodied and smooth with a dry roasty finish.

Pitch black body, dark brown persistent head. This is really well done, not shocking given that schilling is involved. Smells of roasted malt with woody tones, smoke, dark cocoa, dark yeast and forest floor. Taste is the same plus a touch of heavily toasted bread underneath. Roasty and smoky feel, full yet not heavy, goes down easy. Love a beer this well balanced and drinkable yet with plenty of character

16oz can from Tavour. Very dark brown pour, foamy beige head, streaky lacing. Mild roasty aroma, notes of coffee, burnt toast. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate with very minor bitterness. Smooth as silk, lovely feel
