Pours jet black on color with a tan head. Nose is very sweet like caramel and boozy. Taste was also sweet, and boozy. Nice caramel and bready flavors. Warmth from the ABV grows all the way down.

One of the best things about cooler weather is the interest in sweeter pastry flavor. Rolling aspects of pecan pie, derby pie and coffee cake into a barleywine is exactly what Fonta Flora and American Solera brewers want.

Their Tall Drink of Sticky pours with a deep garnet hue and a blanket of tarnish froth. As its savory, sweet and sultry aromas bring those fall pie fare, the warming holiday spice, subtle chocolate and nutty character is wrapped in a cozy blanket of toffee, caramel and honey. Expect sweetness as the first sip coats the palate with those toffee, brown sugar, caramel, molasses and praline malts while a followup of cinnamon spice warms the senses and aids in balance. Gentle hops add near coffee-like bitterness while the nuttiness, toasted oak and whisky spice only adds to the beer's irresistibility.

Finishing sticky-sweet and balanced with broad and woodsy hops, the session is a welcomed, bold and beautiful ale perfect for the dipping temperature.
