Delicious... except for the after-taste... and if you like really dry, you'll find that delicious also.
(Another lesson from Die Bieroteck Munchen in the category of "so many beers, too little time.")
Looks unusually good in a good-looking style. I like the amber haze and the abundant foam that stays until I'm done.
Smells are mostly sweet. Tastes are full and luscious.. like the brewer really did get a hold of a great Belgian yeast strain that had been kept well. But at the conclusion, there is this unfortunate after-taste that is too dry for me to enjoy this saison with food. So... I just enjoyed !
I went on the website of Brew by Numbers and find them to be interesting home brewers going to the next step. And while I don't repeat many brewers still in this early stage of their professional career, I think I will look for another saison from these guys.

330ml bottle. Hazy russet colour with a thin but persistent, off-white, foamy head. Aromas of sweet malt, black currant and brown bread. Semi-sweet, tastes of red fruits and yeast with a subtle bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth, light carbonation. An unusual seasonal brew. Like a cross between fruit cake and a saison. Sourness is low to nothing. Easy-drinking despite 6.7% ABV.
