On-tap at the Brass Tap, Greenfield, WI:
Pours very dark garnet with ruby highlights. A wispy head leaves creamy white lacing.
The smell is of dark fruit/black cherry and warming alcohol.
The taste is of dark dried fruits, a hint of chocolate and alcohol that is well-integrated. Just enough hop presence to balance the sweetness in the finish.
Very drinkable despite the noticeable alcohol. This is a very nice interpretation of the style.

Great drinkable beer. At 8.3, you would never know it.
