IPA + WIT BEER + LAGER = WELL, WHAT EXACTLY? BLISTER IN THE SUN IS A WHEAT LAGER THAT'S FRESH AND FRUITY, WITH A HINT OF CORIANDER AND ORANGE PEEL. LIGHT IN COLOR, BUT BRIMMING WITH AN IMPRESSIVELY HOPPY DEPTH OF FLAVOR, WITH A SMOOTH, CLEAN FINISH.

On tap in the beer garden at WBC. Nice light taste. Has a bitter resin aroma and tastes slightly flowery. I could drink it all day while sitting on the patio.

12oz bottle served in a snifter glass.
Pours a hazy caramel-orange body, one finger thick offwhite head, good retention, not much lacing. Smells odd, primarily of malt, bread, biscuit, with a mild orange zest. There is a bit of alcohol as well. Flavour is fairly odd, a bit muddled; bread, biscuit, spices, wheat, orange zest, candied sugar, yeast. It's a malt-forward beer with spices and a bit of citrus hop flavour. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, somewhat substantial, good carbonation, a bit sticky and on the sweeter side. Overall, a decent APL that is a bit too sweet and syrupy for me.

poured 12oz bottle into snifter.
A - Clear golden with a splash of orange and a 1.5 finger white head. Fades into a thick collar and has spotty lacing.
S - A citrus aroma with a pleasing lager yeast and good amount of hop scents. The coriander is present and gives an orange peel touch to it.
T - It kinda tastes like an IPA with lager yeast more that it does a lager with hops. It's confusing, but I like the fruity and citrus notes. Orange peel would be the biggest flavor followed by the cracker like malts and yeast notes.
M - Lighter bodied and somewhat dry on the finish. A nice amount of carbonation.
O - An interesting beer that could be described as a hopped up lager. I would enjoy it on tap, but will not be purchasing any more than the one single bottle.
