Thanks, Nick!
Was lucky enough to get this beer and a bunch of others from Nick on a recent work trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Untappd description was just a “German-Style Helles Lager.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the sides and bottom of the glass at fast-moving speeds. Almost perfect foamy-to-foggy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled white grape, wet grass, herbal, Cheerios, sourdough bread, hints of white rice and spoiled fruit. About as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was a tier down from the nose. Still got those white grape notes up front, followed by red apple, wet grass, herbal, Cheerios, honey, sourdough bread, Noble hops, peppery spice, spoiled fruit and hints of white rice. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)
A pretty damn good Helles lager. Glad I was able to try it. (Overall - 4.00)

Poured into a pint glass from 16 oz can; born on 06/30/22 (I think... smudged). Smudged yellow color with minimal head and plenty of carbonation. Tastes of a solid lager... but nothing too special. Likely thrown off by the name; essentially, the name indicates 'ordinary' (i.e. nothing special).

Aroma is fruit/hint of bubblegum and husky malts. The flavor is fruit/hint of bubblegum, a small hint of tropical fruit and a grainy/beery malt/mildly sweet finish.

Clear and bright, golden yellow body; excellent carbonation; thin head yet dense and creamy, white in color; thin yet sticky sheets of foam coat the glass interior. Beautiful, light pilsner malt graininess on the nose; excellent fresh herbal and grassy smell. Wonderful golden toasted malt taste; muted yet balanced hop bitterness nicely augments the malt base; clean. Medium body; warm and comfortably dry on the palate; crisp.
This is truly an outstanding take on a German helles-style beer. Rich yet light, clean tasting with a nice, soft touch on the palate. Simply a beautiful beer.
54 °F; no canning date noted.

a literally perfect example of a helles, just so dialed in, refined, bubbly and fresh, there really is no limit to how much of this i want to drink right now. especially nice as a first beer, a morning beer, a palate cleanser, something on a golf course or boat, or to stick it to someone who drinks macro lager. its just so professional, checks all the boxes for the style, and doesnt run away in a german direction that makes it too old worldy or polarizing, its just yellow beer in its absolutely finest form. the heady is comprised of tiny little bubbles and it rises over an inch high. the beer itself is pale yellow, vibrant and energetic looking, and with a wonderful aroma of noble hops in minor proportion and an impossibly fresh grain complexion that none of us usually associate with basic american lager beer. its crisp and fast in feel and the lager yeast doesnt contribute a whole lot of flavor. the whole thing is absurdly refreshing and good, the exact kind of beer i want to drink between the other crazy beers they make in here like maple pacan wheatwine and coffee caramel stout. i live what these guys are doing, and a simple and poundable beer like this is another tip of the cap to their know how, talent, and expertise. i want more of this right this second!
