On tap at EBF, sampled this a couple times:
Appearance: bright, vibrant yellow, with a fluffy white head. Very hazy, no visibility whatsoever through the beer. No carbonation evident from the appearance either.
Aroma: all citrus hops, with a touch of that dry, mildly spicy Serrano scent. It's not quite as spicy smelling as some other peppered ales (Foundation's Fury, Night Shift Viva Habanera) but the pepper is definitely present. Doesn't make you wince. Other than that, lots of tropical character, with the usual suspects present: mango, orange rind, grapefruit.....
Taste: Starts with plenty of citrus and tropical flavors, as in the regular Stalk, which I thought was delicious. No malt whatsoever, all bright fruity flavor, with a moderate amount of bitterness. The pepper in this variant definitely enhanced the bitterness a little bit, and added a little bit of spice, though not an overwhelming amount.
Feel: thick and full-bodied, with little carbonation. Felt upping the carbonation a touch would have enhanced the brew a little bit.
Overall: an excellent, unique touch to an already very good DIPA.
