The beer comes in a black color, tinges of dark brown on the edges.
The aroma hits hop bitterness, coconut sweetness, chocolate.
The flavor hits of semisweet toasted coconut, roasted grainy malts, chocolate, a coffee roast, assertive bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium to medium plus soft and silky, although not full for 9.5%.

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a deep brown with mahogany highlights when backlit. Head is loose, a quarter inch and khaki-colored and quickly disperses towards the shoulders leaving a frothy slick across the surface. Nose expresses cacao, artificial vanilla and a hint of metallic. Flavor profile is really quite pleasant - toasted coconut presents upfront, followed by cinnamon notes and cocoa making up the backbone. Mouthfeel comes off a bit thin for the style with a mild carbonation. All and all, a little more body would do wonders for this beer. The coconut comes out quite nicely though.

Poured from a 16 oz can.
Pours a pitch black color with a half finger of caramel head. The head is gone almost instantly and leaves zero lacing.
The aroma is huge. Lots and lots of sweet cocoa up front, followed by some brown sugar and toasted almonds. Finishes with notes of toasted coconut. Subtly boozy.
The flavor is all milk chocolate with a good amount of coconut. There's just a touch of toasted almonds on the finish. This is an Almond Joy in a can.
The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and creamy, with minimal alcohol warmth on the finish.
Overall, a fantastic imperial stout that is definitely on the sweeter side, but it's never cloying. It really does taste like an Almond Joy. Decadent and delicious.
