12oz. pour at the brewery served in a tulip. Pours a hazy mahogany with no head, just a thin tight band around the shoulders. Nose is fairly subdued but reveals toasted malts and a hint of dried fruit. Taste follows nose with a little more fruit, bready notes and a slightly tangy finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a mild, even carbonation and a light acidity. Overall, comes off as a second runnings beer; closer to an ESB than a barleywine in character.
