Draft at Armsby Abbey, MA.
A- Draft pour into a snifter with a hazy yellow body and a massive, creamy head that peaks at two fingers high. The head retention seems infinite as a massive pillow remains above the beer throughout and lacing forms with thick rings all the way down the glass.
S- Very hoppy but the distinct aromas are not that strong. The beer as a whole is on the tropical, citrus and stone fruit spectrum with some dankness. Notes of mango, peach, melon, weed, papaya and tangerine.
T- The juice and fruit hop barrage is joined by notes of floral and spicy bitter hops that compliment the mango, bubble gum, papaya, peach, melon notes. A nice juicy sweetness in with those hop notes. Juicy hops and hints of cereal and pale barley.
MF- Medium bodied brew with fluffy and creamy textures. The carbonation is at a medium level and it ends with a clean bitterness.
New England makes some good IPAs and Proclamation represents RI quite well. Juicy and fruity hops that aren't the boldest of all time but make for a balanced, refreshing IPA experience.
