I guess this is the correct entry. If anything, Proclamation should put can stamps on the bottoms of their cans.
Thanks Jim R. (Coachee).
I had three cans and poured one into a becher pint glass, one into a mason jar and currently this one is poured into a tulip.
The appearance seemed, in the tulip, to last the least amount of time than the other two servings with it's head. I would say - mostly small, white foaminess sliding off fairly quick. Just some wisps of foamy lace spreading apart nicely.
The aroma smells like candied pineapple/grapefruit juicy pulp. White bread and crust balances cleanly with the malt.
The flavor mostly yields to the sweetness meshing those juicy pineapple/grapefruity pulpiness kindly together but allowing a subtle hop spice sliding in underneath. Really nice brisk aftertaste of hoppy pulpy bittersweetness, well balanced.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Hop spice feels nice, wants to be smooth but also allows a delicate harsh component. Then a subtle stickiness riding on into the finish.
Overall, an absolutely amazing New England styled IPA fulfilling it's destiny to be forerunner for this style! We're starting off on the right foot, Proclamation!
