Appearance: Pours a cloudy pink grapefruit color with a slim head that quickly fades to a collar; spotty lacing

Smell: Funky tart fruit tones with red wine grape, currant and lemon elements

Taste: Tart currant forward with red wine grape and lemon elements emerging; oaky funk and sourness, through the middle, with a puckery finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Here is a fruited sour that brings a nice balance between the funk and the fruit, with the best aspects of both

Thanks, Rug, for the opportunity

I finally made another trip out to Proclamation earlier today. It’s been far too long and I’m glad to have more of their stuff again. I had this one on draft earlier and really enjoyed it so I took a bottle to go along with some others. Let’s give this one a proper review

Pours a cloudy pinkish orange with 2 fingers of pink tinted white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The nose on this is quite unassuming for the funky fruit going on here. I’m picking up on aromas of tart grape, lemon juice, petrichor, fresh oak, wet hay, and light strawberry

Taste-wise, this is much more forward and bright, and it’s absolutely delicious. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart grape, tannic red wine, fresh oak, lemon zest, straw, and apple skin. The swallow brings notes of tart grape, red wine vinegar, lemon zest, old leather, sharp oak, and light brown sugar

A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a sharp and tart beer. Finishes mostly dry but nicely rounded, leaves just a slight film behind

This one is great. Just a super fun yet nicely complex Wild Ale. This brewery is great
