Collaboration with Vitamin Sea Brewing
This was a collaboration a long time in the making, pushed out by Covid and life in general, but we finally made it happen. Doesn’t get much better than Dinos Vino and the Vitamin Sea Brewing crew. We thank them for all they did for us and we thank them for what they are doing with their own beer release! Much love, homies!!
Weird Fishes is a Double IPA with Strata, Rakau, and Ekuanot Lupomax hops. Subtly sweet kiwi lingering amongst thick, orange pulp with a decadent mouthfeel. Sweet and oh-so-crushable.

Canned 2/10/21
This can is admittedly a bit old for the style, but I think it will have held up decently given the abv. This Proclamation/Vitamin Sea collab is the ultimate tribute to Proc’s late founder, Dave. I’ve drank many of their beers dedicated to him, but this one is the only that is directly for him. Let’s dive in
Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves minimal lacing
Aroma wise, this strikes an interesting balance between the herbal hops and the sweeter tropical fruit. I’m picking up on aromas of juniper berries, general herbal hops, lightly tart kiwi, pineapple, bready malt, caramel, and light toast
That nice balance from the aroma really carries over into taste, most notably on the swallow where the flavors come out even more than I expected. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange rind, caramel malt, peppery hops, lemon rind, and toasted bread. The swallow brings notes of herbal hops, red berries, juicy sweet pineapple, caramel malt, light pine, and red grapefruit
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a sodt and creamy beer. Finishes off dry with a nice sweetness
This is really good stuff here. I know collabs are usually one-offs, but I hope they brew this again

Thanks to WunderLlama for this one, from a recent ninja box. 16oz can (dated 2/12/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a fully murky brownish-orange color with over an inch of very active off-white head that had very good retention and light lacing.
The aroma was mostly frooty hops with just a hint of grain in the background.
Same on the tongue, but with the addition of a metallic bitterness.
The body was the typical light-medium of the style.
Drinkability would have been OK, but that metal tinge was tough to get down.
Overall, a sub-par take on the style.
