The beer pours a slightly dirty orange apricot color with some lacing and a bit of head retention. The beer needed to settle down a bit. Right from the pour it was particularly sharp and not PA like. After a minute or so, things settled in. The nose is not great, maybe a bit of musty citrus. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, not cloying, but a bit flat, some citrus, apricot like flavors. The mouth feel is a tad bit thin although this is more a medium bodied beer. I'm not in love with this beer, not enough going on for me, but it isn't bad either. For a PA, I guess this hits the mark. The beer has Strata, Pacifica, and Nelson hops with a 6.25 ABV. The brewer says this is available sporadically, whatever that means. The marketing of the beer claims cantaloupe flavors. I'm not tasting those.
