On-tap 11/13/2021 at the brewery’s taproom in Warwick, RI, served in a snifter glass.
A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a large dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains smoked malts, lager yeast and faint touches of fruit & hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty but not too heavy malt character and lager yeast followed by a burst of smokiness and a faint sweetness from flavors of caramel and fruit. The hops presence is mild but good for the style and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly smoky and slightly bready.
M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, good hybrid of styles. This is a very solid beer to drink for a while.
