Canned 7/13/22. “Aluminum falcon” stamped on the bottom of the can
Well this one is a bit older than I would’ve preferred to have it, but I’m sure it’ll still be pretty good. It should be interesting to see how Proclamation handles fruiting a NEIPA. Let’s find out
Pours a slightly hazy light gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is pretty mild here, and it has an odd damp cellar or mildew thing going on. I’m picking up on aromas of pineapple juice, crackery malt, grassy hops, pithy grapefruit, white pepper, and a hint of damp cellar
Likewise in taste this falls a bit flat. It’s not awful, but it’s basically just watery hoppy pineapple juice. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pineapple juice, orange zest, grassy hops, bready malt, light white pepper, and mango. The swallow brings notes of pineapple juice, pithy grapefruit, peppery hops, crackery malt, and light honey
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a watery beer. Finishes truly neutral
Despite the odd mustiness of the nose, it smells better than it tastes. Even fresh I’m not sure this would be anything amazing but oh well
