NOTES
Oak Aged Belgian-Style Oud Bruin. Aromas of plums, raisins, rhubarb, and red wine. It’s medium-bodied with a nice, low level sourness and flavors of dark fruit, cherries, and touches of tobacco and leather.

Here’s yet another beer from my last Proc haul. I love an Oud Bruin and I didn’t know they had brewed one so I was very excited to see this. Let’s crack it open and find out what it has to offer
Pours a murky reddish brown with 2 fingers of creamy light beige head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
There’s an odd fusel hit in the nose but aside from that it’s pretty good. I’m picking up on aromas of black cherry, tannic red wine, old leather, lemon zest, burnt oak, crabapple, wet hay, raisin, and a hint of alcohol
It’s surprisingly smooth in taste with just a bit of funk. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting apple skin, cherry pit, black tea, tannic oak, red wine, and light tobacco. The swallow brings notes of black cherry, pomegranate, tannic red wine, sharp oak, crabapple, brown sugar, pear, and wet hay
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes neutral and coats the mouth a bit
While it’s not the best example of the style it’s pretty damn good either way
