Fruity notes of coconut and banana. Excellent to the nose. Taste of coconut and banana upfront and bourbon on the finish.

Interesting beer. Plenty of tropical fruitiness from the banana and coconut. Like being on a deserted island with a mildly roasty stout. Slight bourbon barrel characteristics. May let it warm to see how it develops.

Bottled 9/14/18
Pours out a coffee black with a small amount of fine brown bubbles. Nice lacing as bubbles disappear. Aroma of clove and banana with slight raisin and plum.
Flavors of bananas and honey along with dark malt.
Finishes very sugary with a slight alcohol tinge.
Wished I had tried one of these fresh because of the smoothness as this is quite pleasant.

The smell is over the top banana and coconut! Just the smell alone makes you want to jump right in. Very smooth and sweet but with a bitter finish. Nice alcohol bite at the end! This is a very enjoyable chilly afternoon sipping beer. Too bad they retired it!

12 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Bottled 9/4/18, had 12/10/18.
Pours dark brown, opaque, with a half inch foamy head and some soapy lacing. Aroma is banana- like flavoring, malt, coconut, chocolate, light vanilla, a little cola, and something spice like cinnamon- even though it’s not in there. No bourbon barrel noticed. Flavor is pretty much the same as the nose, with the banana improving to seeming half real, half flavoring. Faint bourbon, coconut, malt, chocolate, some vanilla and the same spice thing. Smooth, a good full body- for once not compromised by the add- ins, well carbonated.
Reminds me of banana Laffy Taffy, which had about as much bourbon barrel as this (ok, cheap shot). The coconut saves this one. And the barrels do show less than in most of the variants. Worth a try for one bottle, not four.

12oz bottle courtesy of ovaltine. According to the stamp on the bottle's neck, it was bottled on September 4, 2018-at 11:37am, if you're really wanting specifity. For something that's 11% alcohol by volume, I'm not too worried about nearly 9 months of aging.
Once poured into a glass, it's a very dark shade of brown, virtually black, and concedes nothing when held up to light. Big, creamy, khaki colored head that takes it's time dropping, leaving sheets of lace as it slowly does so.
Initially, the nose was a big, brash bash of banana aroma. As it warmed, some coconut and bourbon notes came out to play. I suspected that nine months in the bottle hadn't been long enough for this to dispense with it's boozy heat.
My suspicions were mostly correct. This is a big, sweet, fruity booze grenade of a beer. As it warms, it reminds you it's a stout, chiefly towards the finish, where there's some dark malt roastiness that has managed to get out of the shadows of the adjuncts and the barrels, but this is mostly a bourbon flavored banana-coconut pudding pop in beer form. That's not the bad thing I might've thought at one time. The banana flavor actually is better than I would've thought it would be, but I'm finding myself wishing the stout flavor aspects were a stronger partner. Perhaps, given some time for the booze to mellow some, that would happen.
Fairly thin body, with a somewhat watery mouthfeel.
Whoa! Holy boozy banana coconut pudding pops, Batman! Actually, it doesn't taste bad, I'm enjoying it in 12oz. form (I suspect I'd differ if this was a bomber or 750mL), but when its gone, I'll have no desire for more right away. In fact, as we do get limited NH distribution here these days, if I were to come across this again, I'd definitely pick up more with the idea of laying them down for a year or two. Thanks, ovaltine!

Picked up a single of this & have been waiting ever since to be in a bourbon/banana/coconut mood. Evidently I don’t get those, so here we are. 12 oz. bottle.
Black, hey, it looks just like Dragon’s Milk! Smells like it too, like someone bombed a malt factory, with a touch of bourbon, just like the original. No hint of the adjuncts; they must be waiting for my mouth.
Dragon’s Milk – Banana Coconut should be called BANANABANANABANANA with banana. Holy banana overkill. Banana, banana shake, plantains are all at the fore. There’s beer here – roast, malts, sweets, with just a hint of barrel. No coconut. Glad I couldn’t find a four pack of this.
Banana bomb that misses the charm of the base beer, & is easily the weakest of the variants I’ve consumed to date. Mediocre.

Served in a goblet glass from he bottle.
Appearance: Semi thin but semi thick black body with a tan head rising one full fingers length off the body.
Smell: Banana scent which is light but wrong after first sniff.
Taste: Sweet banana and mocha with a light dose of coconut. It's complex and sweet.
Mouth: Sticky beer with a medium carbonation and full body.
Overall: So glad I bought a 4 pack, the last one on the shelf but truly the dessert in a glass.

Black in color with no light penetration. There's a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering nearly all of the top. The aroma is overwhelmingly that of coconut with undertones of banana. I'm tasting plenty of toasted coconut and just a hint of banana. The mouth is oily and viscous.

Dark brown color with brownish head. Aroma has chocolate covered banana, bourbon, toffee, fudge, Bounty chocolate. Taste follows with the sweet chocolate and banana, bourbon, light coconut flavor, more bitter on the finish but still chocolatey and some wood notes as well. Body feels quite full, carbonation is medium. The flavors seem a bit artificial, especially the banana, but overall it's a quite tasty beer.
