Hazy, orange color. Big, white head. The aroma of pineapple, citrus, and malt. Sweet start with pleasant hoppy bitterness at the end. Big and tasty.

This was yet another beer from Other Half that I took a while to get around to, as I traded for it while I was away in the summer of '18. As others have alluded to on here, this was a boozy brew that could have been better if the alcohol was toned down a bit. It wasn't bad as much as it was just a bit too strong for a New England IPA...

The pour to this was typical for a beer from Other Half - cloudy, golden, and muted in tone. Plenty of head topped it off and the lacing left behind was quite extensive as it covered an overwhelming majority of my pint glass. Lots of white grape, citrus, and kiwi in the nose but of course, the booze drowned them out as was the case with the taste. Slick and juicy, there were hints of tropical fruit and orange juice in the taste but when you have this much alcohol, everything from the fruit to the malt to the tropical hops would take a back seat to the alcohol and heat that were present in this beer. It was exotic and sweet enough to contain passion fruit and nectar but not to the extent that I had hoped for, as this beer fell a bit short of expectations.

This tasted every bit like the 10% ABV that it contained, as I was wishing that a vegetable undertone would save the day; a la minestrone soup. That was not the case here as the hops and underlying sweetness were enough to reinforce this beer's heft. Not a bad brew but for something being a triple, I anticipated a richer and fuller flavor on my palate. Worth a go once for the label and for disciples of Other Half, such as myself!
