16oz can, dated 04.21.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a bright orange color, amber and golden hues, very hazy and turbid with a fluffy white head, great height and retention with excellent lacing. The aroma is pleasant, tropical fruits, mango, melon, peach, with a nice floral character and a very pleasant earthy and dank hop character that offer grass clippings, weed, pine with a sweet pale dough and yeastiness. The flavors are good, lots of sweet yeast, pale dough, peach puree, honeydew melon, mango, pineapple, some orange citrus, dank weedy green hop, pine bitterness, and a bit of herbal tea. The mouthfeel is very good, coating, lively, hefty medium body that is super smooth and substantive with a sweeter and lightly dry finish.
Verdict: A nice IPA from Other Half. The Mosaic and Motueka play together very nicely and offer up a nice medley of tropical fruit flavors that are juicy and sweet but counterbalanced by an aggressive earthiness.

can to snifter.
LOOK: super light bright whitish-yellow, max haze, big creamy white head, excellent retention.
AROMA: pineapple, tangerine, lemon candy, light leaf.
TASTE: citrus and mango and pineapple, with some grassy bitterness in finish.
FEEL: smooth, light body, a little creamy, highly crushable.
This one is superb. One of the best from OH I've had.

Holds up. Not aged....fresh can, ratings hold up with the 2022 batch. Didn't want to suggest aging this.

Picked this up at Other last week, as this was one of the dual-hopped beers from them that I had yet to have. This came across as bit of a Sour Ale and something as dry as white wine, as it was not like what I was accustomed to from them. Regardless, this was a tasty brew that needed a chaser of water at the end to fully get it down!
The pour to this was typical for a beer from Other Half as it was a muted juicy in appearance with a decent amount of light coming through. Lots of head topped it off as it even leveled at the top of my pint glass and stayed there for a while. A gorgeous, thick ring of even lacing stayed around at the top of my pint glass as there were deeps layers of bubbles coming down from the ends of that ring with a good amount of splotchy sections between then. Lots of grape, mango, papaya, exotic hops, cream, and turbid citrus as the taste burst forth with all of those. The sour and heavy tropical factors really kicked in once I took a sip as this was hauntingly potent, dry in the mouthfeel, and nicely balanced with a light and lively carbonation. as this went down easily once I became accustomed to it.
The booze listed on the can was 8.5% even though it was listed as 8.3% on Instagram and on here. No matter - there was enough here and I could feel it from the beginning down to the end, although it was in line with everything else going on here. With a hint of spicy, sourdough bread in the malt and nice range of flavors, this was a fun beer that wasn't quite Other Half's usual fare. Canned on 10/13 with "Delightfully Splendid" written underneath that, this was good for a go-around for those looking for a change of pace while not sacrificing quality in the process!

L - pours a murky and turbid with a hell of a gradation from dark and ominous at the top to lively and glowing mango haze at the bottom. Some body in the head initially, but quickly settles to half mast (leaving all the lacing behind of course) and quivers there slowly.
S - wild grapes and Kalamata olives fill the nose as if they were sniffed in a grass-filled Scandinavian valley teeming with the stuff on a beautiful summer day. Fresh coat of paint along with a syrupy candied sweetness. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume this is the Motueka doing what it does best which... I don't even know what that is, but it's weird. And I'm okay with that.
T - flavors of musty grape and tangy, bitter hops. Pitted olives, lime juice, and bread. Mild vinegar and a hint of saltiness. Zesty, green starfruit and pale pink grapefruit. Honey and mallow. Earthy and herbal on the finish, like inhaling grass freshly cut from the aforementioned valley.
F - pillowy and marshmallowy. Light enough to be drinkable, but features low-carb cream and a melty finish.
O - off the beaten path a bit, but that's Motueka for you. Some discombobulated flavors, but they work well somehow. Sign me up for seconds.
