The level of red wine acidity and tannins was unpleasant to me. So much so reading other peoples' comments that I question whether or not the beer had experienced an infection.

Pours black with no head. Aroma is big coconut, toffee, caramel and hazelnut layered over dense toasted and roasted malts. Red wine seeps into the background, but remains a part of the back drop. Flavor profile is big coconut (a little artificial), toffee, caramel, vanilla, char, and red wine. Roasted and toasted malts form a firm and solid foundation. Mouth feel is thick and dense, forming a chewy texture. Overall, a big stout with a plethora of added flavors to add to the complexity.

I thought it was quite good when I had it on draft at Other Half, but my bottle was definitely infected. A bit sour, didn't taste like a stout at all. Zero barrel, zero coconut, zero toasted coconut.
