This was yet another beer from Other Half that I bought, put into my queue, and got around to a long time after that. Canned on 12/13/18 with "GREENE ST", written underneath it, this continued the "green" that was common in so many of their other beers but the sweetness was what I took away from this. It needed to be toned down a notch - even down to the candles on the label!
Pretty typical pour to this as the beer was a chalky goldenrod with a uniform hue. Enough head topped it off and most of the lacing left behind was in the form of a deep, but thin, ring near the top of my pint glass. Honey, strawberry patch, and a herbal undertone could be found in the nose as the sweetness really came through in the taste. It wasn't bright or sugary as some orange and mango tied into the resin that coated my palate and teeth throughout. The earthiness never went away as it was a bit at odds with the other flavors here, but this was still a relatively easygoing sipper that was mildly enjoyable and lacking in any visible sediment.
Not a lot of booze here but there was enough to warm me up and complement this beer's flavor profile. Not among Other Half's best as the somewhat waxy residue was fitting for the label. Worth a go once but not something that I'd want to reach for again...

Mystery Beer #1in NBS BIF #8.5 @akatz821 's Hint: Candles (poured from a wrapped can, blindly reviewing the beer. Notes made before the can was unwrapped)
Well it pours a turbid, hazy straw to pineapple juice in color. Frothy white head asserts itself 2 fingers high, then retreats within a minute or so to a scattered patchwork. Some sticky clusters of lacing keep the glass company.
Smell is initially tropical, pineapple, guava, mango at first.
Flavor follows suit. Somewhat "juicy." But then grapefruit pith and hints of onion come through. The onion is mild, so still good.
Mouthfeel is a bit fluffy and yet a hint of gritty. Also, as it warms a bit, there's a little warming that seems to come more from the hops than from the ABV, it's a little bit oniony.
Overall, a very nice NEIPA.

L - 2-finger yellowish, dense head atop a dreary brownish-yellow body.
S - honey, cotton candy, candied orange, herb, decaying veggies
T - follows the nose pretty much exactly. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - too sweet.

Pours a hazy orange with a finger if white head.
Smells of citrus primarily grapefruit, resinous pine notes as well.
The first sip had me thinking this was going to be overly sweet. A couple more and it was all juicy grapefruit and pine.
Super smooth feel, good carb level.
Overall an excellent NEIPA!

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a custom Captain Lawrence taster pint; canned 12/13/2018, code GREENER.
A: Pours a very hazy, orange color with a one finger, foamy, orange chiffon head, fairly good retention, and spidery lacing.
S: Aromas of orange, grapefruit, mango, and pine.
T: Sweet to semisweet. Palate largely follows the nose, although much pithier and with much grainier note than are otherwise evident. Bitterness sufficient to prevent sweetness from becoming cloying.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: A flavorful, fun DIPA. Like the fruitiness.
