Lots of oats, hint of lactose, and an awesome amount of our next level, hand-selected Nelson Sauvin.

Pours a very cloudy golden color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is very good as is the lacing. Tropical papaya aroma with a hint of orange. Juicy orange on the taste followed by papaya. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very good.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw with a massive head that sticks like a charm and leaves clumps of webby lacing behind
Smell: Papaya, shortbread cookie, apricot and white wine grape tones
Taste: Papaya and shortbread forward with hints of apricot and white wine grape developing; some resinous bitterness emerges, after the swallow, but the flavors across the board are rather subtle
Mouthfeel: Medium body; creamy with moderate carbonation
Overall: Well-structured with just the right amount of bitterness to blend in properly

Canned on 3/4/19, this was yet another beer from Other Half that I bought and took a while to get around to. Sure, it was a Daydream beer which mean that it was creamy and full of soft plushness but this one also contained Nelson which meant that it wasn't a brew that had tons of citrus and tropical fruit in it. The end result was a beer that was smooth, enjoyable, but a bit unfamiliar at the same time...
Given that this was a beer from Other Half, the hue was muted, gold, and topped off with enough offsetting head. The lacing left behind was quite extensive as the soapy, webbed rings easily bled through down to the layers below. Lots of white cheese, broccoli, wine, white grape, urine, and wood were in the vegetal nose with all of those being present int he taste as well. Enough carbonation was in this to keep this light without taking away from the Nelson-forward taste and feel that was present throughout.
Thankfully, there wasn't a lot of booze in this as it was on par with everything else that was going on here. I'm not a huge fan of Nelson but as was expected, Other Half did a nice enough job to nearly win me over to this particular hop. Fans of it will love how true to form it tasted while being a Daydream beer at the same time. Worth a go once for a true imbiber!

L - 2-finger frothy offwhite head atop a milky yellow body.
S - skunk, herb, veggies.
T - lots of vegetal hops, peed on by a skunk. Quite clearly a nelson beer. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - if you do/don’t like Nelson, you will/won’t like this.
