One of the most unique and enigmatic beers I have tasted. Wrote this review after the last of a 4-pack. The first beer seemed muddled, but the later beers seemed to become more defined after 2-3 weeks. Aroma is melon and cream cheese (weird) and bread. Might be power of suggestion, but the aroma is pretty strong in that direction. Flavor is Nelson grape predominantly, with some melon. Moderately bitter finish. Dense mouthfeel. I really like this beer.

Dark orange haze. Nose is dank diesel, green aloe, and pear. Taste is pear nectar, aloe juice, and a spicy rye note. Lots of unique notes going on; fairly different from your usual tropical fruit notes.

Finally getting around to working my way through my Other Half stash and this one was next up. Can't say that I've been to a New York deli lately, or even Katz's, but this was nearly enough to take me back as it was quite heavy-handed and not like their usual fare...
Canned on 3/8/19 with "WHIPPED TEMP TEE" written underneath that, this still had a cloudy, golden hue with a moderate head topping it off. That wasn't light and neither was the lacing as this had a well-defined collar and lots of soapy splotches below that. Citrus, mango puree, lime, and honey sweetness on the nose as the taste was a bit more grainy, with scallions, cream cheese, dough and sourdough, honey, and bread in the mix as well. Complex and deep, this was very weighty on the palate as the slickness in the mouthfeel wasn't anything like how this actually tasted. Loads of raisin and currant fully emerged once this fully warmed up as the Nelson Sauvin ended up winning out in the end. Only a bit of dark sediment settled at the bottom of the liquid as this had a dry and nuanced aftertaste that needed a chaser of water to fully get down.
Not a lot of booze in this one and that was probably a good thing, as it would have only weighed this down even more had it been too potent. More cream cheese and less stone fruit might have taken this up a notch or two but as it was, this was enjoyable and a bit enigmatic at the same time. Maybe a side of lox would do the trick!
