Once again, this was another beer from Other Half that I bought at the brewery and took a while to get around to as it ended up in my queue. This was nothing like what I was accustomed to from Other Half as it was indeed, an Imperial Porter with a ton of booze and heft to it. At the same time, it was immensely smooth and full of flavor as it wasn't something that I could easily kick back with!

Canned on 3/14/19 with "LAMINATED NANMERS" written underneath it, this had a dark pour to it like a Coffee Stout or an Imperial Breakfast Stout, given this beer's heft. Lots of tan head to it as the lacing was nearly nonexistent since there was only a bit of a thin ring near the top with a few spots below that. Tons of banana and almonds in the nose as the nutty fruitiness of this easily carried over to the taste. Coffee creamer, raspberry juice, mild lactose, and vanilla extract were all in the taste as this was plenty sweet and slick without being too sugary or weak on the palate. Lots of sediment ended up at the bottom of the liquid but I wasn't quite sure if it was because of age or if they were really coffee grounds!

Plenty of alcohol in this although it didn't warm me up and it didn't make this overly strong in any aspect. The cacao was faint and the croissant was only felt in the aftertaste as it contributed to the stickiness that was present in part due to the lactose. Normally, Porters are the weaker winter offerings compared to Barleywines and Stouts but this one could have stood toe-to-toe with many of those. Nice job all-around with this one as it left me wanting more, and some breakfast to go along with it!

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head and lots of lacing.

This smells like caramelized candied banana, sweet almond cream, deep fudginess, vanilla bean, roast, campfire smoke, and spice.

This is really decadent and tasty. The banana is done well, sweet and slightly smoky. There’s chocolate covered caramel, sweet vanilla, molasses, and almond-flavored coffee creamer, and some general spice. This is extremely complex and very delicious. It’s pastry at its most patently absurd.

This is thick, but very drinkable, with no real booziness. It doesn’t drink like any actual porter I’ve had.

This is decadent and pure dessert, and I like it a lot.

Insanely good stout/porter collaboration with Garage Project from New Zealand. Good balance of sweetness with hints of Vanilla and Cacao. Apparently there's some croissants in here as well.

I tried this as a sample because the banana intrigued me. The beer was not overly sweet. It has a nice banana chip flavor to it.
