On tap at Brewskival 2019.
Pours jet black with a little halo of tan foam.
Smell is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, almonds and vanilla.
Taste is huge, sweet and boozy, with notes of coffee, vanilla fudge, chocolate, vanilla and some nuts along with a subtle, roasty bitterness.
Mouthfeel is thick, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific stout from start to finish.

Pours black with a small head. Smells like chocholate and tastes like chocholate and vanilla. Very sweet - limit booziness. syrupy taste - almost like a chocholate bar.

Picked this up at Other Half when it was released recently and was quite eager to give it a go since two big-time brewers were involved here! I'm not sure what the name on the label is in reference to, but the liquid on the inside was worthy of the other efforts that I've had from these guys over the years. Sure, this was strong but it was flavorful, nuanced, and enjoyable and if you're looking for an American Imperial Stout with those traits, you've found your match here!
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a chocolatey brown with some brandy thrown in for good measure. Lots of mocha head topped this off as it contained plenty of bubbles and offset the liquid quite nicely. Brown sugar, bitter chocolate, booze, and almonds filled the nose as the taste contained all of those in near-equal proportion. Rich, nutty, and strong, this had a nice taste to it but it was still a smooth and slow sipper given how strong it was! Just as much almonds as walnuts, this felt like a cordial that was elevated to the next level. Full, slightly gritty, and slick, this felt like brandy rather than a Stout as there was an unexpected raspberry juiciness and tartness to this that tied everything in together...
Thank God for that as this beer was quite strong as it took me a while to fully down and appreciate it for what it was worth. Not as sweet as Other Half's recent bottled offerings, this was just as strong and required quite a bit of time to fully savor. Both parties involved in this collaboration should hang their head high - the end result was a beer that would please any serious imbiber and leave him or her wanting another pour!

This one pours a solidly dark black color, with a small head and not much lacing.
This smells like big fudge melted chocolate, almond cream, roast, vanilla, and molasses dark sugar.
This is quite sweet, but tasty with no booziness, fortunately. There’s basically no caramel, but lots of cocoa nibs and almond. There’s a sugary sweet malt character, and just a touch of sweet vanilla cream.
This is thick and chewy and syrupy, with no booziness. It’s a slow sipper due to the hefty body.
This is mid level for later days OH stouts. It’s still quite tasty though.
