Murky translucent copper color with a thick, fluffy head that lasts for quite a bit.
The dank pine smell is up front in this one but there are also some typical Other Half fruity background notes going on too. Pineapple, grapefruit, and apple juice.
First sip yields a decent amount of bitterness. As with the smell, the piney flavors are up front although they don't slap you in the face. There is a bit of a citrus note in the flavor too but its subtle. The finish is long and pleasantly bitter.
Feel is relatively light. Lighter than your typical NEIPA but noticeably heavier than a typical West Coaster. Nice carbonation.
It's always interesting when a NEIPA brewery does their take on a West Coast. It seems like there are a lot of different directions it can go. This one is noticeably dank and piney with a relatively light feel. But the flavor is more subtle than a lot of true 8% West Coasters. There's a nice balance of bitterness, and tart and even floral notes too. It's not a "slap you in the face with piney hops" IPA, but it's a nice, subtle take on the West Coast style.

Like the name of this beer but besides that, much of this wasn't outstanding in any particular aspect. Sure, it's not a hazy IPA like so many from this neck of the woods although it wasn't as waxy or resinous like something from Sierra Nevada, Stone, or Lagunitas. It was nicely crafted, enjoyable, and unassuming so if that's what you're after in a beer, this would easily fit that bill!
This had a deep amber hue to it with some fine sediment going up and down with each sip as the heavier and darker stuff settling at bottom of the liquid. A moderate amount of head topped this off as the lacing left behind was quite thick and rocky near the top with a few scattered splotches below that. Lots of earthy Amarillo in the nose with deep citrus pith to boot, as this felt like something I'd have from Colorado when I first got into craft beer. Grass and a subtle hop burn emerged in the taste as this was an American IPA that didn't feel quite like something from one particular region. Somewhat slick with a subtle bitterness, this wasn't bad but it either didn't age well or didn't hold up compared what I'm more accustomed to these days.
Enough booze was in this and I felt a bit warmer when I finished this off although the alcohol wasn't a factor when it came to rating this beer. Nothing was written on the bottom of the can as that was on par with the relative anonymity of this beer. Supposedly, this was supposed to take the imbiber back to a different time and that would be the case given that beers I used to rate don't match up to better offerings available these days. Worth a go once to kick back and relax with...

Pours a deep copper with a substantial head that dissipates slowly leaving a decent amount of lacing. Slightly turbid.
A little dank. Citrus dominates the nose. A little stone fruit too.
Taste follows nose. Citrus, grass, a little peach and nectarine peaking through. Nice malt backbone. Bitter, but not what one would expect from the style.
Substantial mouthfeel. Creamy.
A nice left coast IPA with the body and lower bitterness of a north east nephew.
