Typical setup for the style. Hazy dull brass with a one finger foamy white head. Good retention and lacing.
Piney hops and sweet round malts dominated. The mouthfeel was very round with little residual bitterness.

This was another beer from Rochester that I picked up in Brooklyn and took a wee bit of a while to get around to. Love the topographical map as the label art but the liquid on the inside of the can was on par with this beer's description. I have no idea what the East Bloomfield brewery entails but the malt was not like that in a typical beer from Other Half as it gave this beer a unique flavor profile throughout my session!
Quite milky in appearance, the appearance of this beer was a muted, off-goldenrod with a moderately fluffy head that took it's time to settle down. There was a thick ring near the top of my pint glass with lots of splotchy spots below that with a thick and rocky bit of lacing lingering near the bottom of my pint glass. Lots of floral Citra, dank Simcoe, deep and earthy Cascade, and old-school malt in the nose as the taste felt like it had oats in it as well. Some grass, bready spice, and deep tangerine cream rounded out the flavor of this beer as this got heavier as it warmed up. I was surprised at how hefty this was, as it was not a typical oat-cream-daydream in green brew that I was accustomed to from Other Half.
There was enough booze in this although that wasn't a factor in my rating as I could feel it kick in a wee bit before I finished this off. Canned on 2/18, this held up well as there was a bare minimum of sediment at the bottom of the liquid as I was finishing this off. The aftertaste was quite deep, dank, and full of forest as it served as a reminder of how turbid the hops were. Having a rarely used Malt added to this beer's appeal but ensured that this wouldn't be beloved by all. This was a welcome change from their usual fare although I wish it was just a bit sunnier in tone!

L: yellow and VERY milky. very unique look
S: juicy: orange, pepper, pine.
T: spicier hop notes than most other Other Half beers. Black pepper. Pine. Orange. Hop notes lead to a creamy, more bitter finish.
F: She thicc, but below average thickness for Other Half
O: a nice change of pace, but considering the amount of amazing beers Other Half produces, this one is middle of the pack.
