The pour is very dark brown and black in the glass. A quarter inch, dark walnut foam made an appearance before promptly departing.
Okay, initially, the aroma has some roasted malt and nothing else. After some time warming, not much changes. After additional waiting, the story remains little changed. What fruitiness there was, included a hint of roasted malt. Rather disappointing.
This beer is sweet. While there is a hint of banana bread, and I mean just a hint, the walnuts are noticeable and taste as if they were soaked in maple syrup. The finish is short and mild, and warmth reveals bittersweet chocolate.
The body is dense and syrupy. Alcohol is remarkably weak, especially given the 13% noted on the label. It is possible there is a sense of carbonation, but that may be only my imagination. Residual sugar cakes on the lips.
In my opinion, this is a swing and a miss. It is far too sweet and totally lacking in character development. If you enjoy drinking syrup, then maybe this beer is for you. All this said, it is drinkable, just not worth a second round.

L: Jet black color, minimal head, nice lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: I have never smelled so much banana in a beer!
T: TONS of caramel, then banana and then some chocolate and alcohol.
F: Full bodied, full flavored.
O: Nice dessert imperial stout.

On tap at Other Half Rochester in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a very small head, and no lacing.
This doesn't smell as massively sweet as would an expect from OH and the beer description. It's like a liquid and stout-ified banana walnut muffin. There's lots of chocolate fudge and caramel candy, too, along with the obvious candied walnut and caramelized banana. It's got a pleasant roast on the back end.
This is thick and chewy, and not too syrupy, with a lower level of carbonation.
I expected this one to possibly be super diabeetus-heavy. I'm happy that it's not.

Thoght this beer was actually pretty good. Liked it best in small quantities. The bananas wasn't overpowering, and the overall taste was solid. Also tasted walnut as well as caramel.
