Canned 5/28/20, it’s very cloudy gold orange color with a 2 finger thick foamy off white colored head that was packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving good lacing as it went down.

Smells of grass, lemon zest, skunk weed, tangerine, orange peel, biscuit or grains and then trailing citrus notes. Well balanced but not very pungent, especially for a OH DIPA.

Flavor also comes off as restrained and not as juicy as other DIPA’s from OH. We’ve got citrus like tangerine, orange peel, light grapefruit and some lemon and lime, then floral notes, tea leaf, piney accents and peppery spices. The back end is like cracked wheat and wet cardboard with some malty sweetness. It’s pretty well balanced with a light bitterness that’s on the tart side, but no dank citrus fruit or specific taste jumps out to make this any different than other IPA’s from these guys. It’s a very enjoyable beer, but for OH in my view it is just average.

Ah, Centre Street. Of course, those of use that love Other Half are familiar with it and it's unusual spelling as it's the home of one of my favorite breweries and so many memories from the line share in front of it. While this beer didn't break any new ground, it was indeed a homage as it was prototypical of what they've brewed over the years without any fancy frills or unusual traits to it. Much like the Hop Showers and Forever Ever, this was a textbook beer from them that easily pleased me and would be a wonderful introduction for anyone unfamiliar with what Other Half releases!

This had a typical look and pour for a beer of this type as the muddle, unfiltered milky golden hue was quite pleasing when held up to the light. Plenty of light seeped through it as the head that topped it was quite frothy and long-lasting. The lacing left behind was thick and rocky, but only in the ring that lingered near the top of my pint glass. Lots of soft hops, gentle grass, woodsy and weedy dankness, pithy stone fruit, and deep citrus in the muted nose as the taste contained all of those in a smooth, melded form. Such a lovely, hoppy mouthfeel to this as it was bright, fruity, and slick from the first sip down to the last. Not a lot of carbonation as the malt was quite basic and recessed.

The same could nearly be said for the alcohol as it was certainly present, but not enough to get in the way of everything else that was going on here. Canned on 1/7/20 with nothing written above or below it, this was a solid brew that took everything about Other Half and stripped it down to it's bare essentials. Sure, the aftertaste was full of vegetable dankness and citrus rind but those flavors were bright, enduring, and enjoyable. If you can handle a subtly heavy beer, get this, and marvel and how well it was crafted and indicative of what Other Half was fully capable of!
