Pours a nice yello/orange color. 2 finger white head. Retention is good. Minimal lacing on the glasss.
The nose has a ton of grapefruit in my nose. There's also a bit of pineapple.
The taste - A bit more mellow, and this time I'm getting more pineapple than grapefruit in the flavor.
The body is fairly soft and creamy.
A tasty Other Half IPA.

This was another beer that I picked up during the big weekend back in February, as the name of this was enough to make me laugh. Sure, everything's better the first time around...with the possible exception of this. No, this wasn't a bad beer but there was something a bit odd about it that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Maybe it was the odd combination of hops that didn't quite meld well together but this beer had the potential to be so much more...

Nice pour to this as the liquid was a uniformly hazy off-goldenrod that let enough light through. Not a bad head to it and the lacing that was left behind was in the form of a few thick rings near the top with a nice, dotted presence the rest of the way down the side of my pint glass. Deep tropical fruits, exotic berry, potatoes, and vegetable dankness were in the nose as the taste was just as heavy, dank, and unusual from the get-go. Slick and vegetal, the Motueka and Idaho 7 as the Nelson Sauvin made this feel like a funky, foudre-aged wine in the aftertaste. Combined with a strong presence of cantaloupe, the end result was heavy, pithy tropical fruit with deep, dank vegetables that felt a lot heavier than it was in actuality.

No, there wasn't a lot of booze here although I could feel a bit on my breath by the time I finished this off. Canned on 2/4 with "CAM HAS WRISTBANDS" (Ha!) written below that, this was a true Other Half experimental beer as it had their signature feel while feeling unfamiliar at the same time. It's drinkable but don't go looking for the usual fare with this one. This might be one of their few brews that would better the second time around...

Canned about a month ago, poured into a small glass taster

L: pours with a slight head that fades quickly. Hazy light yellow gold, less of that creamy haze more like dirty water. Minimal lacing

S: tropical fruit, some coconut, a bit of citrus

T: weird. Decent tropical start quickly turns to this vegetal / herbal note and then really just makes me think of sharpie/dry erase marker

F: a little thin, carbonation good

O: a disappointing beer for sure. Doubt it’s because it’s a month old (hopefully I’m wrong), just something strange going on here
